The Safe Working In Water (SWIW) course combines classroom learning with extensive practical sessions for those required to enter water as part of their work. Learners develop skills in risk assessment, safe systems of work, wading techniques, swimming, self-rescue, co-worker rescue, and conditional rescue techniques, building confidence to work safely in water. 

Assessment Methods:

Continual assessment throughout the course. All learners must participate in all theoretical and practical sessions.

Certification:

Successful learners will receive a Rescue 3 Europe accredited Safe Working in Water certificate which is valid for 3 years.

Accreditation:

This course is accredited by Rescue 3 Europe.
